Non Destructive Testing

This NDT project is carried out in collaboration with a renowned international pipeline operator. Its objective is the development of analog & digital electronic system, data acquisition and processing system for In-Line Inspection Tools (Pigs) for Oil & Gas Pipelines. The purpose of an in-line inspection is the detection, sizing and location of flaws/defects within the pipe wall. This pipeline tool is based on EMAT (Electromagnetic Acoustic Transducer) sensors and will be able to detect Axial and Circumferential Cracks, Stress Corrosion Cracking (SCC) and Coating Disbondment (CD). Renzym’s strong background in electronics, digital design and signal processing is helping it achieve target specifications which are comparable to market leaders in EMAT and Ultrasonic Transducers (UT) based ILI tools.
